A really good wedding proposal will have been given a lot of thought. It will be well planned out, it will be personal and it will mean something. Anybody can get down on one knee at a local restaurant, but if you want the best proposal ideas, then you need to be a little more original.
Think About the Setting
You can propose to your partner absolutely anywhere. The best place to propose would perhaps be their favourite place. Is there a particular place in the world that they love travelling to? Would it be realistic to travel there and propose? Some of the most romantic wedding proposals have occurred on vacation. You could propose on top of a mountain as you both look out over the beautiful scenery. Or how about proposing on a romantic boat trip?
The setting is everything when it comes to the proposal. So, ensure that it is as romantic as possible. Even your own front room can be a romantic setting, if you covered it in rose petals and scented candles! You don’t have to go out of the country to find the perfect setting.
Think About What You Want to Say
The wording of wedding proposals is extremely important. You should let your partner know why you are asking to marry them. A wedding proposal is like a small speech. You build up to the proposal. Tell them how you feel; how they make you feel. That you want to spend the rest of your life with them. Don’t get somebody else to write your proposal for you! It has to come straight from your heart. “Will you marry me,” are four words that would make most women swoon, but there should also be a small speech before that too.
Make it Personal
The best wedding proposals are by far the ones that are personal to the couple. Take any small detail about you both as a couple and include it into the proposal. It could be your song, a favourite location, a favourite TV program – anything! Whatever you can include in the proposal that makes it unique to the both of you, should definitely be included. This shows your partner that you are serious about the proposal. You have given it a lot of thought and you are making a big effort to make it perfect. That will definitely be appreciated!
